2018 Workplace Leadership initiative announced

17 October 2017

A Workplace Leadership Programme will be delivered through the BIFM Academy starting from the first quarter of 2018, it was announced earlier today.

It follows the forming of a partnership between BIFM and 3edges to create the programme, which followed two previous recent developments.

The first of these was the publication in December 2016 of the Workplace Advantage report by The Stoddart Review, emphasising the importance of the workplace as a strategic driver for companies.

The report showed growing awareness of the potential to improve business performance through workplace development and how more needed to be done raise awareness of this.

Following this, the summer of 2017 saw 3edges commissioned by BIFM to research how the FM sector understands the meaning of 'workplace'.

A summary of key findings from the research will be available to BIFM members next month.

Further to this, the research will be used within a series of practitioner-focused guides exploring cultural, technological and physical elements of the workplace published next year.

All professional disciplines will be included in the programme, in addition to FM, to explain the potential of using the workplace to enhance staff performance in all areas.

More information will be available at
