TSG European and North American businesses acquired

05 September 2017

Science Group has announced the purchase of both the North American and European divisions of Technology Sciences Group (TSG).

It is a provider of scientific advisory and regulatory services and was acquired from Dentons Innovation Group for an undisclosed sum.

TSG provides regulatory and scientific services to assist with compliance on a regional, national and international basis.

It operates in 36 countries and clients are active in the chemical, pesticide, consumer product, food, personal care and animal health sectors, also dealing with industry groups, trade associations and law firms.

The company has an international staff of more than 120 scientists and regulatory consultants.

Science Group chairman and chief executive officer Martyn Ratcliffe described the TSG businesses as "highly complementary" and said it will extend his company in "key sectors and geographies".

It was reported that TSG will retain its brand with the Science Group, which include Sagentia, Oakland Innovation, OTM Consulting and Leatherhead Food Research.

TSG-Europe managing director Louis Wyness said: "Becoming part of Science Group significantly strengthens TSG as an organisation and provides far greater access to leading scientific and technical resource for our clients."
