Pattenmakers appeals for Young Manager nominations

29 August 2017

Nominations for its Young Manager Award Scheme are being requested by the Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers.

Run by the worshipful company for over 25 years, the scheme has supported individuals with their career development and has seen many previous winners progressing to key positions in industry.

Two young managers awards are available, one for FM and the built environment and the other for a candidate from the footwear industry.

The judging panel for the FM and built environment sector candidate will consist of Kath Fontana, David Sharp, Martin Pickard and Richard Muir (who is the worshipful company's chief steward).

Industry support for the Young Manager Award Scheme has been pledged by industry organisations including RICS.

The successful candidate will receive expert support to create a varied and bespoke personal development programme, such as off-site courses and work placements designed to broaden their perspectives.

All developments will involve full consultation with the winner's line manager or employer. Presentations will take place at the the Pattenmakers' Annual Banquet, held in London's Mansion House in January 2018 and presented by the Lord Mayor of London.
