SWG purchased by European software provider

02 August 2017

Addnode Group has announced the acquisition of Service Works Group (SWG) for an undisclosed sum.

It was announced that SWG will continue to design, development and support of its FM software products for clients around the world.

The statement read that the move will also allow the business to strengthen its core services, expand its product offering and "continue to meet the ever-changing demands of the FM industry".

This will be delivered in part through close cooperation with Addnode Group's Symetri brand, which has a strong presence in the Nordic countries at present, with the two sides working together on a global basis.

SWG chief executive officer Gary Watkins said: "Together with Symetri we will be able to provide a more extensive and compelling offering to the global market."

Addnode Group Design Management president Rolf Kjaernsli said the "strategic acquisition" showed the group's expansion into new areas and the strengthening of its FM product porfolio.

"As a result, we will be able to jointly deliver a more extensive portfolio of solutions to our customers in both the Nordic countries, where we have a significant position, as well as in UK and other markets, such as Australia and Canada, where SWG has a strong presence," he said.
