Helistrat officially recognised as an Investor in People

19 July 2017

Helistrat, the leading sustainability consultancy and contract management partner, has been awarded accreditation against the Investors in People Standard, demonstrating their commitment to high performance through good people management.

Founded in 2009, Helistrat has grown exponentially in the last 8 years with its number of employees now up to 60 and boasting an impressive client list which includes M&S, Ann Summers, Gatwick and Britvic amongst many others.

The company has also extended its reach geographically with additional field offices to compliment the headquarters in Hampshire. Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results.

Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry.

Investors in People enables organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale.

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Helistrat, Investors in People accreditation is the sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to success.

"Helistrat should be extremely proud of their achievement.”

Commenting on the award, Nicki Crowhurst, Head of Operations and HR at Helistrat, said:

“We are thrilled to have been awarded this prestigious accreditation of an Investor in People. Right from the start, we had the clear objective of wanting Helistrat to be known as an employer of choice and as such, undertook the ‘Helistrat People Project’ which looked at everything people-related – benefits, talent development, how we communicated with our employees, the working environment we were creating.

"We felt that the Investors in People framework underpinned the culture we were trying to develop and therefore it seemed a natural next step to work towards official recognition.

"Never ones to rest on our laurels though, we now have a 3-year plan in place to go on and achieve the Investors in People Gold Standard and greatly look forward to this challenge.”
