Acquisition provides additional international expansion

03 April 2017

City Facilities Management (CFM) has announced the acquisition of Lesprit for an undisclosed sum.

Trading as Maintenance Management in the UK and Atrium Maintenance France in Europe, both Lesprit divisions will now become part of CFM.

They will, however, continue to operate from their respective head offices in Milton Keynes and Lille, France.

The purchase also marks the exit of LDC as Lesprit's institutional investor, which has been involved since 2012.

In addition to expanding the CFM UK operation, the acquisition sees it extending its reach into mainland Europe.

CFM chief executive officer Michael Hughes said the purchase forms part of his company's long-terms aims to "extend our global reach".

It now employs nearly 13,000 people and operates across Europe, Asia, Australia and North America.

"There is a great deal of synergy between City and the MML and AMF businesses and we share in the belief of not only delivering world class services but also constantly innovating to maintain long term partnerships with our customers," said Mr Hughes.
