PFM to stage Future of FM seminar at The Cleaning Show

14 February 2017

PFM Magazine has agreed to stage the Future of FM seminar on 16 March at The Cleaning Show, to be held in London’s ExCeL centre.

Four panel members have been recruited to date, all of whom will give an initial short presentation before taking part in a question and answer discussion with the audience on the day.

Taking place between 11.00 and 12.00, the session will be the first of the day within the show’s Seminar Theatre and will focus on all aspects of the FM sector, in addition to the cleaning focus of the event itself.

Panel members include Martin Pickard, founder of the FM Guru consultancy and winner of last year’s Peter Middup Lifetime Achievement in FM trophy at the PFM Awards 2016.

He has over 40 years’ experience in the industry working as an FM, trainer and consultant in operational, strategic and leadership roles.

Joining Mr Pickard will be Sodexo UK and Ireland head of cleaning Lauren Kyle, who has responsibility for developing all aspects of the company’s services in this area.

Ms Kyle is chair of the Business Services Association Cleaning Committee and represents Sodexo at events by professional bodies such as BICSc and the British Cleaning Council.

BDO managing director and national head of facilities management sector M&A team Satvir Bungar will also join the panel on the day, using his deep insight into FM business models gained through M&A to share current themes with the audience.

His previous industry experience also includes assisting the acquisition of maintenance businesses in emergency services.

Further insight will additionally be shared by EMCOR UK’s Christopher Kehoe, representing the Institute for Collaborative Working (ICW) in his role as board member.

After assisting his company to achieve BS 11000 for building collaborative relationships in 2010, an FM industry first, he was then a member of the BSI/ISO standard review committee for the conversion to ISO 44001.

The Cleaning Show runs from 14 to 16 March and more information on the exhibition and comprehensive seminar programme is available here.
