Work brighter with Rexel ActiVita Daylight Lamps

09 November 2016

Daylight hours will start to dwindle as the grip of winter takes hold.

To combat the fall in light levels, Rexel’s range of ActiVita Daylight Lamps have been designed to bring the benefits of natural light back into the workplace.

The UK will experience less than eight hours of light a day by the end of the year, so the impact of good quality desk lighting in the workplace can be significant.

Rexel is leading the way in providing the workforce with a much-needed boost in energy levels with its affordable, stylish and long-lasting ActiVita Daylight Lamp range.

The ActiVita Daylight Lamps utilise blue LEDs to improve user comfort and help to enhance concentration. Blue LEDs simulate daylight which triggers brain activity, making the user feel more energetic and alert.

The Daylight Lamps are available in three models, each with a life of over 25 years1 (40,000 hours) with low levels of energy consumption.

Models in the range can be adjusted for different purposes, including ‘Daylight’ that aims to boost alertness, ‘Warm’ that helps the mind to relax for activities such as reading and ‘Cool’ to brighten the workspace.

LCD panels on the ActiVita Pod+ and Strip+ display a calendar, clock and temperature, with the added benefit of a USB port for charging mobile devices on the Strip+.

Chris Gaskell, Senior Director of Channel and Brand Marketing, ACCO Brands Europe, comments: “Users will find that Rexel ActiVita Daylight Lamps provide a light source similar to daylight, helping them to avoid that afternoon dip in energy levels and concentration which we can all experience as winter sets in.

“Improving employee health and wellbeing is currently high on the business agenda and the Daylight Lamps have received a lot of attention and praise for the positive impact they can have on productivity levels in the workplace.

"Not only are they an affordable personal desk light, we’ve found that users of the Daylight Lamps come to see them as an essential workplace tool whether in a home or corporate office setting.”
