Young Manager finalists introduced

21 October 2016

This year's finalists within the Young Manager of the Year award were introduced at a lively reception evening held at the London office of Facebook.

Organised by the Young Managers Forum, the winner will be announced at the black-tie presentation ceremony for the PFM Awards 2016 at The Brewery, London on 2 November.

The four finalists are:
Kirsty Johnston, head of business improvement (Resilience), Mitie Technical Facilities Management;
James Barber, contract manager, CBRE;
Michelle McMahon, facilities coordinator, Mace Macro;
Tom Corner, head of FM delivery, Mitie UK

Following opening remarks by Young Managers Forum representatives Sara Campbell (chair) and Claudia Halabi, the four finalists appeared in a video, which had recorded their answers to questions and introduced them to the audience on the night.

This was followed by a live question and answer session with three of the finalists (Ms McMahon is currently working in the US and was therefore unable to attend).

The evening continued with a live singer, canapes and networking, adding further value to a lively and entertaining event that emphasised the progress in increasing the professionalism and diversity of the FM sector.

The evening was sponsored by JLL, with BT Facilities Services sponsoring the Young Manager of the Year award.
