New products light up Energy 2016

05 October 2016

In an industry driven by inventive thought, this October’s Energy 2016 will provide a hub for innovation, which will see an array of products, materials and services launched within it.

One of the most pioneering companies to exhibit at Energy 2016 will be Pavegen, a clean-tech start-up company headquartered in London.

Since it was founded in 2009 the company’s technology has evolved from a singular tile, which generated electricity from footsteps into an entire array, with three multi-functional component parts: floor, data and energy.

At Energy 2016, the company will bring a new technology, which converts footsteps into a digital currency that can be used to reward loyalty or to donate to charitable causes.

Another innovative company specialising in clean-tech is Clean Power Solutions, a renewable energy company focused on finding tailored solutions on a case-by-case basis.

The company has had a successful year, winning the Smart Energy Award from the Renewable Energy Association and being selected as the UK’s representative for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in China.

At Energy 2016, the company will be launching a new renewable energy storage system to compliment its existing range of products.

The company will also launch its new website at the event, as well as offering a free Site Energy Evaluation Audit to anyone who visits the stand.

Speaking on their plans for the event, Marc Stanton, Commercial Director of the CPSL Group of companies said: “Energy 2016 is the ideal place for us to bring our solutions to the attention of the movers and shakers in the industry.

"Having control of energy costs is vital for the financial viability of most companies; at Clean Power Solutions we provide that ability.”

Some of the other exhibitors showcasing their latest innovations include E.ON, Firefly Clean Energy, Vaillant Group, British Gas and Scottish Power.

One exhibitor, which attendees will not want to miss at Energy 2016, will be G2 Energy. The company have ranked in the top ten of the ‘Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100’ league table for three consecutive years and have worked on a number of electrical grid connections throughout the UK.

It will be bringing one of its containerised substations to the exhibition as part of the innovation trail.

Nathan Garnett, Event Director for Energy 2016 commented: “The response we’ve been receiving from exhibitors at this year’s event has been overwhelming. It’s clear that visitors to Energy 2016 will witness some truly amazing products, services and materials launched.

"Our aim has always been to excite, inspire and support the industry and the enthusiasm and innovation displayed by our exhibitors leaves us feeling confident we will!”

Finally, energy data analytics and smart grid solutions provider Argand Solutions will be launching ‘The LenZ’, its new asset health indicator at the event.

The LenZ is used as an aggregation tool for housing associations bringing multiple sites and locations into one platform to negotiate better utility rates for tenants and reducing fuel poverty.

It shows real time energy status and helps the company reduce energy costs, asset risks and generate revenue for its clients.

Taking place at the Birmingham NEC from 18 – 20 October, Energy 2016 sits alongside HVAC 2016, Smart Buildings 2016, Timber Expo, Civils Expo, the Surface and Materials Show, Plant & Machinery Live, and Grand Designs Live as part of UK Construction Week.
