New head of QHSE at Macro

International facilities management company, Macro has hired Andrew Broderick as Director of Performance for Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE)

Andrew, who will be based in London, previously worked for Aldar Properites in the Middle East as Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Director where he managed the development, implementation and compliance of Corporate EHS Policies and Management Systems. Prior roles include Group HSE Manager for Union Properties in Dubai and Rowse Construction in the UK.

With an MBA in Sustainable Business, Andrew has a business focus and understands the integration of economics and QHSE to protect life, assets and reputation. He brings over 20 years of experience of QHSE Management, where he has specialised in Infrastructure, Real Estate Development, Construction and Asset Management.

Together with his team, Andrew won the ‘Best Health and Safety Achievement in Construction’ award from the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) in 2009. He also carried out the role of Abu Dhabi spokesperson for the IOSH Middle East Branch and served as the General Secretariat member of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Group for over six years.

Commenting on his new role, Andrew Broderick said: “I am excited to be joining the senior management team at Macro and look to build on the great work that has already been done. My initial aim is to drive QHSE awareness and ensure compliance across the business as a core strategy.”
