Incentive FM wins extended contract for Covent Garden

10 December 2015

Capital & Counties PLC (Capco) has extended its contract with leading independent facilities management business Incentive FM, to provide an extensive facilities management solution for the Covent Garden estate

This follows a successful six-year partnership that has focused on improving standards every year and delivering a cost effective solution across the estate, which is home to around 180 office and retail tenants, over 130 residential tenants and 40 fixed stalls.

This year the addition of luxury brands to the estate including Chanel, Burberry, Balthazar and Lima Floral, has meant an increased focus on the presentation of the estate, and an increased emphasis on Incentive FM’s delivery of world-class service as part of its everyday duties.

Incentive FM was first awarded the contract in 2009 with a remit which included the management of all cleaning, maintenance and security operations and the street performer management, market management and lending support in delivering the annual programme of events on the Piazza. Since then the scope of the contract has been extended to include a wider estate cleaning remit in Covent Garden and the surrounding areas. As part of this Incentive FM has introduced a number of enhancements to the existing cleaning operation and undertakes additional cleaning areas in the public realm.

Commenting Michele Simon, Capco Covent Garden, said: “Capco’s vision is to position Covent Garden as a world-class destination by bringing in a host of innovative global brands and reinvigorating the district to attract a more affluent demographic, whilst maintaining the character of the area. Incentive FM has played a vital role in helping to deliver this vision and will continue to do so in the future.”

Bruce McDonnell, Managing Director at Incentive FM, said: “It is vital that the millions of visitors to the area each year have an exceptional experience and investment in both people and equipment has yielded visible results in the appearance of the environment within the wider estate. We will continue to work hard to deliver service improvements throughout the period of our new contract to ensure that Covent Garden continues to thrive as one of London’s most loved destinations.”
