IPS appoints national accounts manager

19 October 2015

IPS, an independent provider of replacement parts for powered access equipment, has promoted Stuart Parker to the new role of national accounts manager

Stuart will manage relationships with existing key accounts and identify opportunities for further growth. He will report to Parts Sales Director Dave Faulkner and also work closely with Kevin Shadbolt, Operations Director for IAPS Group, which owns IPS.

Kevin Shadbolt said: “Stuart is a very experienced professional who is a real asset to the parts team at IPS. In his new role he will provide an additional level of focus and support to our existing national accounts, while helping to further grow this important area of our business.”

Stuart has worked in the access industry since April 1999. He joined Genie UK working in various roles for 10 years before moving to Access Platform Sales (APS) as parts manager, then transferred to IPS in 2013 when it merged with APS to form IAPS Group. He will be based at IAPS Group headquarters in Telford, Shropshire, but will travel the UK extensively. His new role commences on 19th October.

“I’m delighted to be taking on new responsibilities for national and key accounts,” said Stuart. “As the recognised replacement parts experts, IPS can deliver genuine cost benefits to powered access fleets, helping them to improve efficiencies and streamline the entire replacement parts process.”

IPS has more than a decade of experience in replacement parts. The award-winning company is the official UK parts distributor for access platform manufacturers including Genie, Grove Manlift, Hinowa, Isoli, Manitou, MEC, Omme Lift and Youngman BoSS. IPS also offers a wide range of after-market parts for lesser-known brands and obsolete machines, sourced directly from the component manufacturers. Its team of experienced access parts specialists, coupled with a sophisticated parts database, ensure IPS provides a high level of technical support to customers.

The company recently launched its own-brand range of traction batteries and workshop consumables as well as becoming the UK distributor for Thermoil Battery De-Mister and Battery De-Sulfater products. These non-hazardous additives help optimise the performance and prolong the life of batteries used in access platforms and other lifting equipment.
