Touchwood shops at Bilfinger

08 October 2015

Bilfinger Europa has won the soft FM services contract at the award winning Touchwood shopping centre in Solihull. The 650,000 sqft shopping centre opened in 2001 with over 80 stores, 20 restaurants and a nine screen cinema complex.

Earlier this year Touchwood launched a competitive tender process with the ambition to find a new way of delivering soft FM services. Bilfinger was awarded the contract through its demonstrated experience of delivering FM services to a number of shopping centres in the UK, as well as understanding the client’s requirements.

Over the next five years, this contract sees Bilfinger delivering cleaning, security, full waste management, concierge and car park management services. The contract successfully went live after a short six weeks mobilisation period and TUPE transfers of employees.

"At Touchwood we are looking forward to Bilfinger demonstrating their well recognised excellence in the shopping centre arena and maintaining Touchwood as a premium regional shopping destination." Andrew Cole, Touchwood Shopping Centre.

“We are pleased Touchwood selected Bilfinger Europa to deliver a range of FM services to their shopping centre based in the Midlands. With our best in class service delivery and full understanding of our client’s scope, we look forward to developing a long-standing partnership with Touchwood.” Phil Wainwright, COO UK, Bilfinger Europa.
